    Donaldson continued: Never once did I interrupt a president in any way while he was making a formal statement, a speech, honoring awardees or in any other way holding the floor. Yes, almost always when he was finished in the Rose Garden or in the Briefing Room or at a photo opportunity with other world leaders I tried to question him (only rarely was it a shout on the rope line, more often a more normal tone of voice) and other reporters of course did the same thing along with me. What this man did yesterday is something new, to me wrong and unusual. I think it is probably the result of the growing incivility of the times, the competition among reporters and news organizations to be noticed not only for the work product but for the theatrics of the gathering�€�and there is one more factor, let�€™s face it: Many on the political right believe this president ought not to be there �€“ they oppose him not for his polices and political view but for who he is, an African American! These people and perhaps even certain news organizations (certainly the right wing talkers like Limbaugh) encourage disrespect for this president. That is both regrettable and adds, in this case, to the general dislike of the press on the part of the general public. For Tucker Carlson to say that he would if he can give this man a raise for this rude attempt to interrupt the president is reflective of what I�€™ve said above and, to me, lowers my opinion of Tucker.

    Sam Donaldson, along with many others in our Earth Planet, (including me - The Old Goat), think about the the way "some" think and say it is OK - are NOT, and I hope more, from the "political right", will change their "positions" SOONER THAN LATER, or it may too late for everyone!

    letter to the editor

    I wish more people understood the need to help the poor. �The only way to reach people for Jesus is if we do something for them and not just talk Jesus at them.

    God please change me to use me more. �Help me to grow up in Christ and do everything you created me and called me to do from the foundation of the world.
    Let the rest of my life count for your kingdom .. that I may stand before you on that day that we all give account for what was done in our body .. and on that day you say 'well done'. ��

    I want that more than anything else in the world. And I want to love people Lord with all my heart and hold nothing back.. I want to be free to love without fear, without hesitation, without regret. �To love people who need you the way you have loved me.. in kindness and patience and faithfulness.

    You are my best friend Lord and my only true friend. �You are always with me and so often when I think I am alone you show you me that I'm not. �You show me that your loving hand is always on me and your watchful eye is always looking out for me. �How many times Lord.. how many many times have you rescued me in the night when I was afraid .. I was alone and I was losing hope .. and you snatched me from the jaws of defeat and plunge me into the victory of your complete and utter love .. your mercy and your grace. �

    Mercy to forgive me when I don't deserve it. �And grace to overcome in strength when I have no strength of my own.

    I'm so glad I'm yours. �I'm so glad you see the end .. from the beginning.

    Date with Shawn....

    So our date has come and gone, it was an awesome time, great evening, great company, what more can I ask for?

    After meeting up at BullShooters in Phoenix and playing a few rounds of pool, we headed over to his house for a barbecue and some swimming.�

    Although this situation would never have taken place prior, I found myself feeling very comfortable with him, it is actually a very nice change of pace for me.

    So for now, he is going to call me when he gets home from work.� I hope that we make another set of plans to see each other real soon, I really thoroughly enjoyed myself and I think he did too.
